Township Board Meetings

The March 2, 2026 Macon Township Board Meeting has been changed to March 9, 2026 at 7pm at the Macon Township Hall.

The annual Budget Hearing for Macon Township will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 7:00p.m at the Macon Township Hall. The proposed 2026 -2027 Budget will be available for public inspection.

The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.


Public Notice

The Macon Township March Board of Review will meet at the Township Hall located at 8320 Clinton-Macon Rd. Clinton, MI 49236 on the following dates:

Organizational Meeting: March 3, 2026 at 9:00a.m. (No Appeals will be heard at this meeting) The Board of Review will inspect and review the assessment roll prior to the public hearings.

Public Appeals will be heard on the following dates:
Monday March 9th, 2026 9:00a.m. – Noon & 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday March 11th, 2026 1:00p.m. – 4:00p.m. & 6:00p.m - 9:00p.m

Meetings are by appointment to appeal to the Board of Review, please call Devan DeLong at 517-264-4537. Appointments will be taken up until Friday, March 6th. Walk-in’s will be heard around scheduled appointments.

Township Board Meetings are held on the First Monday of every month at 7 pm. This meeting is a meeting of the Township Board in public for the purpose of conducting the Township’s business. There is a time for public participation during the meeting as indicated on the agenda.

Planning Commission Meetings

Planning Commission Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of January, April, July, and October at 7 PM. This meeting is a meeting of the Planning Commission in public for the purpose of conducting the Planning Commission’s business. There is a time for public participation during the meeting as indicated on the agenda.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

MACON TOWNSHIP
PLANNING COMMISSION

TAKE NOTICE that the Planning Commission of Macon Township will hold a public hearing on March 4, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. at the Macon Township Hall, 8320 Clinton-Macon Rd., Clinton, MI 49326, to consider a proposed ordinance to amend the Zoning Ordinance regarding special land uses that allows the Township Board to enact a moratorium on specific special or new or emerging land uses under specific circumstances.

The proposed amendment is available for inspection at the Township Hall during regular business hours. Copies may be obtained for a reasonable charge.

This notice is posted in compliance with the Open Meetings Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services who are planning to attend the meeting should notify the Clerk, Julia DeJonghe Marshall, at (517) 451-8074 within a reasonable time in advance of the meeting.
